Whatever size business you are, if you’re using AI for generating marketing content, you need to read this.

Does AI seem a sensible alternative to skilled humans? In many cases, it probably is. And yet, there is always a need for a human’s input. Especially if you need your Return on Investment (ROI) improved using GenAI marketing content.

Are you saving money? For many businesses, that’s not yet proving to be the case. According to a recent ProCopywriter webinar I attended on Generative AI and copywriting, studies show that the ROI is negligible, and that, in fact, businesses are noticing a drop in interactions and sales.

However, from a bit of research, it seems that patience is needed, both for GenAI and Agentic AI. ‘Agentic’ refers to AI automating complex processes, resulting in minimal human input.

In time, and with enough investment (hardware, software, training, etc., for Agentic AI in particular), you may see a good ROI, according to Deloitte’s article AI ROI: The paradox of rising investment and elusive returns.

Measuring GenAI’s ROI is slightly different. Here’s an article I found that offers some helpful advice: How to Measure the Impact of AI on Content Performance & ROI. In (very brief) summary:

  • Define clear KPIs that align with your business objectives

  • Use AI to collect data and measure results, e.g. Google Analytics

  • Consider how to attribute value to your AI-driven initiatives, e.g. analyse historical performance before integrating AI, and identify key variables, such as content engagement metrics, lead generation rates, to establish a baseline comparison

To ensure your content hits the right notes – from attracting your target audience by using the right keywords, improving your ROI – it’s always best to use a professional copywriter.

Okay, I’ll admit that it may be more cost-effective to develop the content yourself first, whether through using ChatGPT, Claude, or your own good self.

But please, for the love of truth, trust and authenticity, use my AI editing service before publishing anything anywhere.

Here’s how using copywriters to edit your AI-generated content adds value:

🤖 Most good copywriters have years of experience creating copy that converts. AI doesn't — it

just churns out words based on what you've asked it to do.

🤖 Copywriters know what questions to ask, e.g. about your business objectives, brand tone of

voice, marketing strategy, what results you expect, etc. Then we combine that knowledge with

copywriting skills to create content that works.

🤖  The skills and years of experience copywriters have (30 in my case) also mean that we understand

how to refine and optimise AI-generated content to ensure success.

🤖 We know what AI prompts to use to generate the best results.

🤖 And as part of my AI editing service, I double-check the facts and sources to ensure that your

content is ethical and 100% correct.

If you're not getting the results you want from your GenAI content, you need my AI Editing service. Here’s how it helps:

So, if you know that your GenAI doesn’t sound like you, send it my way.

Let’s get your content sounding like you – but sharper.
